Obituary: Published in the Mt. Vernon Signal in April 1939 in Mount Vernon, Rockcastle County, Kentucky. 37 Logan D. Taylor Passes
Mr. Logan D. Taylor, 46, passed away at his home Saturday, April 22 at 6 p.m.

He had been in declining health for the past six months, from which he never rallied but gradually grew worse until the end came.

Mr. Taylor was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Taylor, deceased, and was born and reared in this city.

He was married to Mrs. Lula Farmer of this place and to this union was born one daughter, Mary Elizabeth.

The deceased was one of the most well-liked and known citizens in this part of the county. He was very patient during his illness and all that medical aid or loving hands could do could not restore him to good health again.

Funeral services were held at the home, Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. W. C. Younce, pastor of the Baptist Church, assisted by Rev. W. A. Fite, pastor of the Christian Church.

The American Legion took charge at the grave, with a Military Burial, in Elmwood Cemetery.

He was a member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, a World War Veteran and a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife and one daughter, Mary Elizabeth, one step-son, Robert Farmer, and one brother, R. E. Taylor, and a host of relatives and close friends.

With the bereaved family and all sorrowing relatives we deeply sympathize in this afflictive bereavement.

Those from out of town who attended the funeral were: Mr. Robert Farmer and Barney Apple of Cincinnati; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Rickert, Mrs. Rosie Thompson and son Fred of Anderson, Ind.; Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Hopkins and daughter of Loyal, Ky.; [remainder of clipping cut off].
