More Information: • Immigration: James immigrated from Barnstaple, Devonshire, England to Plymouth Colony, Colonial America in 1633 along with his wife, Mary, and sons, James and Hugh. 1730 James' wife, Mary, and his sons, James Jr. and Hugh were also with him. It's unclear if his son, John, and daughter, Mary, were born in England or in Plymouth but it's possible they also immigrated with the rest of the family.. • Occupation: James worked as a Shoemaker and Innkeeper in Plymouth Colony, Colonial America. 1730 • Historic Marker: James Cole, Cole's Hill, Plymouth Colony, Colonial America. 1741 This marker is mounted on the granite post at the top of the steps on Cole's Hill. It is not known where James was actually buried. James married Mary TIBBES on 1 May 1625 in Barnstaple, Devonshire, England.1730 (Mary TIBBES died aft. 7 March 1659/60 1730.) |
