Occupation: Henry worked as a Minister. 1795 He became a Baptist preacher and was known at the "Marrying Parson" because of the many weddings he conducted in Caroline and Spotsylvania Counties during a ministry that was active for some fifty years.

1810 United States Federal Census, Henry Goodlow household, Spotsylvania County, Virginia: Henry's household consisted of 1 m 16-26, 1 m 26-45, 1 m 45+ [Henry], 1 f 26-45 and 9 slaves. [Unsure who the others were living with Henry but they are likely one of his children (or grandchildren) and their spouse and son. Henry would have been about 80 years old in 1810. His wife was apparently already deceased as the only female in the household was between 26-45 years old.]
