  More Information:

1830 United States Federal Census, William Taylor household, Garrard County, Kentucky 709: There were 2 William Taylor's listed in Garrard County in 1830 and their household compositions were almost identical so, it is impossible to tell which is this William Taylor [but one most likely is since William and Patsy were married in Garrard County in 1825]. Both households had a male child under 5 [Robert] and a female 20-30 [Patsy]. One has a male 20-30 and the other has a male 30-40. Either of these could have been William since his birth year is somewhere between 1798 and 1805.

1840 United States Federal Census, William Tailor [sic] household, Garrard County, Kentucky 198: Robert appears to be included in the composition of his father's household as a male 10-15.

1860 United States Federal Census, Robert Taylor household, Rockcastle County, Kentucky 2308: Robert and Mary Marg were living with their children: Wm T., James M., Josiah and Geo. W. William Parsons [probably Mary's father] was also in the household. Robert was listed as a wagonmaker, age 32, born in Kentucky.

1870 United States Federal Census, Robert Taylor household, Rockcastle County, Kentucky 2309: Robert and Mary M. were living with their children: William T., James M., Josiah, George W., Martha E. and Laura C. Robert was listed as a farmer, age 43, born in Kentucky.

Property: Robert sold property on 13 March 1900, in Rockcastle County, Kentucky. 2311 Robert and his wife, Margaret, sold property he inherited from his father, William Taylor, to his step-brother, George W. Taylor. The deed was dated and signed on 13 Mar 1900 and George had the deed recorded on 18 Sep 1906 in Rockcastle County. George paid Robert $20.00. The land was described as being owned by William Taylor, deceased, and located on the waters of Renfro Creek. Amount of acreage was not listed.

1900 United States Federal Census, Robert Taylor household, Rockcastle County, Kentucky 2312: Robert and Mary were living with their daughter, Martha. Robert was listed as a farmer, age 73, born Feb 1827 in Kentucky, married 47 years.

Obituary: Published in the Mt. Vernon Signal on 21 September 1906 in Mount Vernon, Rockcastle County, Kentucky. 2313 Dead: - About eleven o'clock Tuesday the death angel knocked, and the spirit of Mr. Robert Taylor took its flight. "Uncle" Rob, as he was affectionately called, was 79 years and 7 monts [sic] old and one of the county's best citizens. About ten days ago pneumonia seized upon him, and with his weakened condition, he could not long withstand the heavy strain. The burial took place Wednesday at the Providence church, being the church of which he has been a member for many years. The home of Mr. Taylor has presented a very sad scene for the past week. In one room was Mr. Taylor, another room his wife and in another room his daughter, who has been an invalid for years. Of Mr. and Mrs. Taylor, it seemed that both must go and much uneasiness was entertained of the daughter because of her sickness of many years and weakened condition, it seemed that the strain would be more than she could bear, but we are glad to say that Mrs. Taylor and daughter are better, and much hope is intertained [sic] of their recovery. Besides them, there are four other children, W. T., George and J. M. Taylor, and Mrs. G. S. Livesay, Jr., all of whom were at the bedside of their father when the end came.
