The funeral of Mrs. Nancy J. Lanier, who was taken by death in tlanta on Tuesday afternoon, was held at Hilview Cemetery this morning at 11 o'clock with Dr. John S. Jenkins, pastor of the First Methodist Church officiating.

The body of Mrs. Lanier was sent to this city from Atlanta where she died for interment. At the time of her death she was living with her daughter, Mrs. Lillie Roberts, Hunter-Owen Funeral directors were in charge of arrangements.

Nancy married Joseph Smith LANIER, son of William Washington "Buck" LANIER and Charlotte T. JACKSON, about 1869.³⁷¹⁷ (Joseph Smith LANIER was born on 2 Jun 1847 in Randolph County, Alabama ³⁷²⁰ and died on 1 May 1909 ³⁷²⁰.)
